I grew up in Middlebury having lived on Steinmann Avenue from 1962 - 1983 (age 1 1/2 to 22). I returned in May 2008 to revisit the old neighborhood and town. Waterbury, CT: Places I Remember From Childhood
Although my hometown is Middlebury, almost all shopping and many other activities were done in adjacent Waterbury. It was an industrial, blue collar city of about 108,000 in the 60s and 70s (Middlebury was about 6000). Hence, these memories of places I frequented while growing up.
